El Camino De Santiago - Backpacking through Spain

Leon - Fisterra 449km - 5 weeks

The Camino is a pilgrimage trail to Santiago de Compostela. I completed the Frances way, well part of it. Can you blame a girl for cutting it short to go to Barcelona first? I completed 449 km through Spain in a little over a month. I walked through wheat fields, cities, mountains, and beach terrain. I extended my hike to the coast to Fisterra and Muxia, or (The end of the world). I did go by myself. Many thought it would be impossible for me, as a 28-year-old woman, to do. This was not the case. The hike was safe, and I received more help along the way than I ever expected. By going alone, I made amazing friends and collected countless stories of adventurous acquaintances along the way.

This was a journey I would recommend to anyone who has the endurance to walk. This is the main requirement. Can you walk 10 miles? Great then you can walk the El Camino!

It was one of the most impactful experiences of a lifetime and I would happily do it again.
