Skogar - Laugavegur 87km - 6 Days

This hike was difficult. There are no two ways around it. However, it is UTTERLY magical and worth every difficult step.

After Finishing my artist retreat in the summer of 2023 in Akuyeri, Iceland. I went south to Skogar to see the black sand beaches and began the most challenging hike of my life. Over a Volcano and Glacier, through an Icelandic Dessert and Arriving at the hot springs of Lagavguer 6 days later. This hike is a journey through an alien world. Awe, inspiring and spiritual on a level I was not prepared for. The privilege of seeing this untouched landscape where life begins and ends will stay with me for the rest of my life.
